Hi, I'm Ciara.
I'm Irish - Limerick born, meaning the 'west is best'.
Living in London since 2011.
Creative Director who art directs and writes.
Founder of the creative mother network The Unicorn Union.
Currently hanging at VCCP as Creative Director working on a range of clients. Prior to here I was Creative Director and Managing Partner at McCann where I oversaw all the Mastercard work for the UK and Europe as well as help grow Demand - a smaller creative department for specific clients such as Qatar Airways, Acer, Refuge, JBL, Hargreaves Lansdown, and The Electoral Commission. Before that I was permalance for 2 years as an ACD at JOINT London working on Amazon, TSB, Kettle Chips, ECP and Thatchers Cider. Skip to before that and I was at BETC working on brands such as Diet Coke, Bacardi, Rimmel, Danone, Samsung, Lacoste and Accor Hotels, to name a few.
I've been lucky to work in places as far as DDB Canada to starting out at Ogilvy & Mather Dublin.
During my career I've got to work with amazing people making work that has campaigned for sex worker rights, the world’s first 3D printed crisp pack, several global TV adverts for Amazon, the first song scientifically tested to make babies happy, a complete new global brand campaign and positioning for Bacardi, and apparently the cutest ad of the year for hotel brand - ibis.
Over my morning coffee, I draw my Twitter followers and have sketched over 600 portraits for my blog - #TwitollowerSketches. Follow me if you want one @ciaraomeara.
During lunch you’ll find me looking at anything interior related as I’m a complete interior designer wannabe.
In the evening you’ll find me hustling to organise events for The Unicorn Union to connect creative mothers, helping with She Says as part of committee, as well as being a Who's Your Momma mentor supporting young women in advertising industry.
All my time left is spent enjoying every second I can with my two sons and husband.
